Only 5 more silhouettes to go! Once I am finished I think I will take quite a break from silhouettes for a while but until then I am hoping to knock out some great designs.
This morning I headed into the studio to make some thumbprints. I made this one by combining 2 of my own thumbprints.
Almost 12 hours of my Saturday was spent working on this silhouette. When I started this idea I had no idea it would take that much time to design but am very happy with how it turned out. This is yet another silhouette that I designed over at my friends Jake and Martine’s house and may be the last one that I will be able to do before it’s torn down. Thanks again Jake and Martine for letting me use your house yet again. Below are some photos from different angles.
And just for fun.
Here is a silhouette that I’ve been wanting to do for a few months now. I finally got around to doing it this week with the help of a projector and a lot of tape. Below I have added a few shots from different angles.
Thanks again to Jake and Martine for allowing me to use their old house for a second time before they tear it down. Check out what I did to their house the last time I was there. Hopefully I can get in there one more time before “d-day.”
And just for fun…
Week 42 is here with only 10 more weeks left till she turns 1 year old. The countdown begins. This year has just flown by so fast!
Wanted to play around with some geometric shapes this week, really like how it came out. Also, if you are into geometric design then check out geometrydaily.tumblr.com. Amazing stuff and a new one every day. That’s impressive!
Week 41 is here and we are so close to the one year mark. This weeks silhouette brings you a color blind test so I hope you all can see it alright. I am actually considered a bit “color deficient” but I can make this one out alright.
I’ve spent most of the last 2 days looking for the free time to work on this silhouette. It has been one busy weekend. But I did get enough free time to finish this silhouette thank goodness! I decided to do another physical design and photograph it. It took me quite some time to string it all together but it turned out exactly like I wanted it to. Don’t you just love that beautiful piece of wood?
I’ve added a few detail shots of the final piece below.
This weeks Silhouette is another one that I wanted to accomplish with just one photo. I headed over to the studio that I work at where we have a light booth set up. I cut the silhouette out of cardstock using a vinyl cutter and taped it to the apple. then took an exacto knife and carefully started cutting around the cardstock silhouette.
I thought that the apple was pretty appropriate for this week because I have been eating a LOT of apples lately. I have been on a pretty strict diet lately and have lost 25 pounds and just hit my goal weight.
Thanks to my friend Doc for giving me the idea on this one early on when I first started the project.
Below I added the full version of the photo that I shot.
This weeks Silhouette is another Winter themed one: Ice Skating. Didn’t have a lot of time to work on one this week but I like the way it turned out.
My Band, Beta Radio, is back in the studio recording some music for our next album and time is quite limited for me these days.
